BlackBerry (2023)

If you haven't watched it yet — go do it right now! It’s a brilliant, fast-paced dramedy about Mike Lazaridis, Jim Balsillie, and the ragtag team of nerds who built the world's first smartphone empire.

It perfectly captures the insane crunch and passion behind the early days of Research In Motion (RIM).

A true tribute to the nerds who changed the world. Keep typing!

ZINWA Q25 (Modern Tribute)

The Revival: Almost a decade after BlackBerry officially stopped manufacturing smartphones in 2016 (and three years after its legacy servers were shut down in 2022), enthusiasm for physical keyboards never died. In 2025, Chinese hardware company Zinwa Technologies stepped in to fill the void with the Zinwa Q25.

Legality & Status: While the Q25 is not an official handset manufactured by BlackBerry Limited, Zinwa secured a limited license for the visual design and housing elements of the classic BlackBerry Classic (Q20). It’s essentially a modern, enthusiast-built hardware revival created specifically for the active QWERTY community.

Key Specifications:
Display: 3.1" IPS Touchscreen (720x720 resolution, crisp 1:1 square ratio)
OS: Android 11 (supports essential messaging apps like Telegram & WhatsApp)
Processor: MediaTek Helio P60 (Octa-Core)
Memory & Storage: 4 GB RAM + 64 GB ROM (expandable via microSD)
Cameras: 13 MP Rear Camera + 8 MP Front Camera
Battery & Charging: 3000 mAh battery + USB Type-C port
Connectivity: 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3.5mm Headphone Jack

Why it matters: It isn't a native BlackBerry OS device, but it offers the closest physical typing experience you can get today with modern Android app compatibility — perfect for a digital detox or a daily companion device.
